The biggest Orthodox Russian Church of Spain

The Spanish architect Ignacio García will elaborate the project of the biggest temple that the Orthodox Russian Church is going to construct in Spain.

A surface area of 2.519 square meters in one of the most emblematic municipalities of the Costa del Sol has been the place chosen for the construction of the new church.

The Russian architect Mikhail Filippov, a great artist that makes drawings and water-colors of all kinds of buildings and urban landscapes, will take part in the church design.

The temple will overcome in dimensions to the “Cathedral” that the Orthodox Church and the Foundation Christ’s Nativity are constructing in Madrid with the benediction of the Patriarch of Moscow and with the participation of the Imperial Russian House, in the number 48 of Hortaleza’s Great Avenue, in a plot of land of 756 square meters of surface that yielded the Town hall of Madrid two years ago, July 9, 2010.
