Rejuvenate your home with IGGA

For little money and with good taste we update the interior of any home.

The international architecture and design studio based in the cosmopolitan city of Marbella, Ignacio García IGGA Internacional, has just updated the interior of one of the homes designed by the studio, without doing any work.

It’s all about the details

To do this, the founder of the firm, Ignacio García, has taken advantage of his most artistic vein and has added imagination, with a small investment and his good work he has worked the miracle in a short period of time. We show here a before and after example of one of the areas of the house that he has renovated. It is a double-height space illuminated with natural light where the staircase is located. By itself, it was one of the most attractive spaces in the home and it seemed impossible to improve it, but IGGA, with García at the helm, has achieved it.

Small changes with a lot of power

The iron railing has been replaced with a glass railing with custom buttons. Added a stainless steel handrail. The old modular bookcase was removed and large-format porcelain tiles with a dark tone and Corten steel effect were placed on the vertical partition where the bookcase previously stood on the ground floor and in its continuation on the first floor. For greater economy, marble cubes have been glued over the holes where the iron staircase supports were previously fixed, so as not to have to replace the marble flooring pieces. Reviewed and improved indirect lighting to create a more updated and charming environment, concentrating light where it is most needed, with spotlights next to the new tiled mural on the ground floor, relaxation and reading area, and on the first floor, passage area. And added a rug.

The result is magnificent in beauty and practicality

The old staircase with an iron railing is now a splendid marble staircase with a glass railing that does not need to be painted and enjoys a wider passage area than before. The hidden partition behind the bookcase is now a beautiful tiled wall, a unique wall that crosses the house from top to bottom, expanding the space, highlighting the beauty of the staircase and underlining the double-height condition of the area.

An intervention that takes years off the house for little money

In this case, the economy is more than evident. There was no need to change the floors, renew textiles, put in new doors, add wallpaper, paint the walls with colors other than white, or even buy new furniture.
