Karpenko, there are no two without three

The Andalusian of Montañez continues to count on Karpenko.

It’s time for the third closed call for the Andalusian U15 Basketball Team with Nicolás García Karpenko among those called to prepare for the Spanish Regional National Team Championship #KDTINF2024, which will be held in four weeks in Huelva. All of IGGA and CBSP are in luck because Karpenko, a player on the IGGA GROUP CB San Pedro cadet team sponsored by IGGA, is one of the 16 best Andalusian players born in 2008 that the Andalusian Basketball Federation has called up in Córdoba.

The versatile and talented basketball player Karpenko is the only Costa del Sol promise who, without belonging to the Unicaja quarry, nor the Los Guindos Basketball School, nor the Real Betis quarry, has participated in the first three days of training of the Andalusian team. His magnificent state of form and stellar debut with the Malaga team in the recent Andalusian Championship, where he won the gold being one of the best players in the championship, have led the coach of the Andalusian team, Javier Montañez, and his two assistant coaches, Jonatan Domínguez and Javier Garrido, to count on the Marbella for the preparation of the 2024 Spanish Championship.

However, the game system that the coach wants for this team does not convince all the players. It is being difficult to carry it out successfully in training and there is uncertainty regarding the final result. If no one changes anything, there will be a significant drop in the next call: Karpenko.

First test that Montañez’s team passes – Last Sunday, November 26, during the afternoon session of the second call, the male cadets of the Andalusian team won by 10 points against the local team Torino Málaga Basket of the First National Basketball Division. Montañez’s team won the first friendly preparation match for the Spanish Championship organized by the Andalusian Basketball Federation in Malaga behind closed doors. The First National Basketball Division, organized by the Basketball Federations, occupies the fifth level in the Spanish basketball league system, after the ACB, LEB Oro, LEB Plata and EBA leagues.
